The company is involved in manufacturing operations for aircraft interiors that include the Airbus A320 and A330 along with the Boeing 737 and 777s.This diversification in business is an attempt to lessen the company’s dependence on its Dornier 328 aircraft, unquestionably the most successful and profitable commuter airliner they produce. This turboprop-powered airliner was initially acquired in 1966 by Fairchild Aircraft, which resulted in Fairchild-Dornier. Although the company is indeed expanding and capturing a market share of other areas of the aerospace business, the Dornier 328 is still their bloodline. The maintenance and support and also spare parts manufacturing are all centered around this aircraft. They are, however, looking for acquisition opportunities each year in which to expand their business.
