M.2, formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor has created a power packed small-form-factor multi-purpose connector. It is stated that it will replace mSATA and mini- PCIe slots that are used in many laptops. Storage is the key feature, but not the only one. It also supports USB, SATA, and PCIe. These tiny drives will result in super-fast storage ability for your laptop and/or personal computer. Jon L. Jacobi of PC World states that,It is these units are nearly four times the speed of SATA, sitting at 2GBps.
