Hardware & Tools Industry In Dubai Worth Over 5.7 Billion AED; In 2015 Only

By getting prepared for the Middle East’s major upcoming hardware, tools and machinery’s exhibition, a market analysis has shown that the fastest growing city in the world; Dubai, has an estimated line of work valued at 5.74 billion AED which includes imports, exports and also re-exports to other countries in the MENA region.

The USA is considered one of the key partners involved with Dubai’s hardware and tools line of work at an assessed value of 878 million AED, followed by China (746 million AED), Italy (346 million AED), Germany and finally Saudi Arabia (248 million AED).

One of the highest commodities in the construction industry is the rock drilling / exchangeable hand tools which has a market share of 1.05 billion AED, and estimated to be 20% of the total market. Other highly valued commodities include mountings, fittings and other similar parts used for buildings which has an estimate value of 397 million AED, as well as automatic door closer (315 million AED) and non-household tools (261 million AED).

Director General and Chairman of Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, Mattar Al Tayer has opened the 17th edition of the three-day exhibition which took place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. This included over 180 exhibitors from over 10 countries representing 250 brands.

Although many would say that Dubai has already reached its peak in terms of strategic growth and development, and the industry could possibly move to the maturity stage; the Middle Eastern and North African region still has such a great significance in the global construction business alongside with some other industries affiliated with it, such as the Oil & Gas market.

Having that said, it’s certainly the perfect opportunity to launch several distinctive construction related products, such as the nippers presented by Channel-lock from the USA, which is a prime manufacturer of superior quality pliers. Italy has also introduced through Technotubi Picena a wide range of anti-torsion, double coated polyester hoses that is also used for purposes other than construction as well as many more industry pioneers such as Knipex from Germany.
