Hamilton Sundstrand – From Small Manufacturer to Global Corporation

Hamilton Standard, formed in 1929 via the consolidation of Hamilton Aero Manufacturing and Standard Steel Propeller into Hamilton Standard Propeller Corporation, was a supplier of aircraft propellers. They were the largest supplier of aircraft propellers in the world. Other companies in this corporation included the likes of Boeing, Sikorsky, and Pratt & Whitney. Three years prior, in 1926, Sundstrand Corporation was founded via a merger of the Rockford Tool Company and Rockford Milling Machine Company.

The company then became a global corporation involved in the manufacturing of aerospace and industrial products for markets around the world.
