HP’s Envy Laptops will now have more battery live with a new Bristol Ridge APU

Ian Paul, contributor of PC World, uploaded an article on HP’s Envy laptops on Apr 5, 2016. Three Envy electronics were released during Tuesday’s announcement. One of these three Envy’s has the newest AMD Bristol Ridge chip. This Envy is the only device on the market that is carrying this AMD Bristol Ridge chip.

During the announcement, HP went on the also release the very slim HP Spectre which is considered the world’s thinnest laptop as of now. The HP Spectre will have a width of 0.41 inches.

The Envy x360 convertible is considered to be 21 percent more thin than its predecessor which had a thickness of 0.74 inches. Although there hasn’t been that much of a drastic change in the internal specifications, the physical size has definitely decreased. In terms of chips, the Envy x360 convertible was using a Broad-well. However this year, 2016, the Envy will have using the Sky-lake chips.

As mentioned before, the Envy x360 will be the first laptop to carry the AMD Bristol Ridge chip which can be offered at HP’s quad core AMD FX 9800P for this laptop.

There are also different screen resolution options to choose from, such as 1080p as well as 4K resolution. In terms of ports, the Envy x360 will come with two USB 3.0 ports as well as a USB Type-C connection. To add on to this, there is also an HDMi port along with an SD card reader. Battery life can withstand up to 11 hours. There will also be 16GB of RAM with a 2 terabyte hard drive.

There is also the 15.6 inch laptop (or 17.3 inch) with touch screen capability. Both of these will come with three USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C connection which can be used to fast charging.

For the 15.6 inch model, it will have a 0.71 inch profile that also weighs 4.4 pounds. This also uses an i7 core processor with integrated graphics. Maximum amount of RAM for this model is 16 GB. You also have the 256GB PCIe solid state drive and a 1TB HDD.
