Parker Aerospace: Supporting Aircraft with Core Technologies
A division of the multibillion dollar, global company Parker Hannifin Corporation, Parker Aerospace specializes in flight control, hydraulic, fuel & inerting, fluid conveyance, thermal management, and engine technologies. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Parker Aerospace is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and EN/JISQ/AS9100:2009 standards. Used in a wide variety of aircraft (including fixed-wing military planes, commercial and military transports, business and regional planes, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and helicopters), the company has a vast product portfolio of nearly 50 categories.
Parker Aerospace is committed to advancing the latest technologies for safety and efficiency. The company has developed a number of innovations to provide solutions for
electromagnetic interference (EMI) including fiber optics and dielectric isolators. These fiber optics are immune to EMI and high intensity radiated fields (HIRF), both of which can cause severe electronic malfunction or failure. Other advantages of fiber optics are their nearly unlimited bandwidth capacity and extremely light weight and non-interfering properties. Parker has developed dielectric isolators for their fluid conveyance systems which insulate hydraulic fluid from the dangerous effects of static charge and lightning. The company has also recently made fuel cell technology a commercially viable alternative to propeller and ram air turbine starters and offers a number of fuel cell products for a variety of applications. Parker advances cleaner power-generation technology which offers better combustion and higher performance. Their fluid atomization technology, proprietary nozzle-designs, and lower installed and life-cycle costs allow for greater fuel efficiency with less polluting burn. Their Macrospray® macrolaminate technology is a nozzle design with numerous layers fitted to create a macrolaminate stack.
Coming in two varieties, the Macrospray Single-Point and Macrospray Spider, these nozzles’ advantages include a smaller resulting pressure drop size and lower operating pressure for increased energy conservation. It also integrates multiple injection points allowing the creation of highly complex fluid paths. The exhaustive list of available
